Once the PhD program admission committee reviews applications, qualified applicants will be interviewed by the committee members, in-person or via the Internet, to determine the compatibility of their academic and research interests with those of the faculty members in the program.

Students may specialize in areas such as state and local policy and management; nonprofit management; public budgeting and finance; organizational behavior, theory, and management; human resource management; performance management; policy analysis and evaluation; collaborative governance networks; homeland security administration and policy; criminal justice administration and policy; and health administration and policy.

More information about the program faculty members, current students, alumni, program structure, and application requirements can be found at Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration.

Applications will be received through Penn State University's Graduate Application website. The deadline for applicants seeking financial aid is January 15, 2016. Late applications may be considered if assistantships are still available.
