Many authors working in the field of interpretive policy analysis mention such incidents of first-hand experience in their accounts of how policy `problems' and `solutions' were shaped and point to the sometimes decisive role sensory experiences, including the emotions possibly involved, their performance or the mobilization of ethos and pathos, may have played at crucial junctures in a policy process. However, this phenomenon has seldom become the main focus of academic scrutiny. We therefore invite contributions, which explore the role of sensory experiences in policy-making, either theoretically or through the analysis of empirical examples. Contributions from all policy fields and approaches within IPA are welcome.

Deadline für Themenvorschläge ist der 3. Februar. Nähere Informationen finden sich auf der Webpage der Konferenz: http://ipa2015.sciencesconf.org/resource/page/id/15
