The School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at UC San Diego http://irps.ucsd.edu (http://irps.ucsd.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of politics and public policy to begin July 1, 2015.
. Applicants should have a PhD conferred or completed by July 1, 2015 with an outstanding record in a PhD program in political science, public policy or economics. The successful candidate will have a background broadly in the field of public policy. Examples include political scientists within the fields of American, comparative or international politics with focuses on: the politics of policy design; policy implementation or effectiveness; or, micro-economists with a focus on regulation, firms, and social welfare. IR/PS has a special interest in candidates who can teach in a new and developing master’s in public policy (MPP) program while also contributing to the School's larger mission of teaching public policy with an international focus.
