Call for panels for the Second International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP) - Milan, Italy, July 2015

Over the past thirty years, public policy research has grown as an academic field of study in many countries. Involving a range of disciplines in the social sciences and humanities, including political science, public administration, geography, sociology, economics and law among others, this research has helped develop our understanding of the many phenomena related to public policy-making.
Sponsored by six Research Committees of the International Political Science Association (IPSA) and by the public policy section of the American Political Science Association (APSA), and that of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR), the first International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP) which took place in 2013 at Grenoble, France was a great success with more than 1000 participants.
In order to continue to bring together all researchers who work on public policy and their different approaches and topics, we invite you to attend the second International Conference on Public Policy which will take place at the Catholic University of Sacro Cuore, in Milan, Italy during 1st-3rd July, 2015.
CALL FOR PANELS Call for panels for the Second International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP) Deadline : 15th October, 2014
During this conference, opportunities will be provided for both junior and senior researchers from a variety of disciplines to present and discuss new research, theoretical, conceptual and methodological insights and empirical findings through a symposium of selected panels and workshops. The Conference will also involve invited speakers and plenary discussions.
The conference call for participation is structured in two steps:
The first step is a "call for panels" which begins on 1st September, 2014 with a final deadline of 15th October, 2014.
The second step is a "call for papers" which will begin on 1st November, 2014 with a final deadline of 15th January, 2015.
With this call for panels, we would like to invite you to propose a panel for this conference. A panel may consist of 1 to 3 sessions and each session (with a duration of 2 hours each) can have 4 to 5 papers. Panel proposals can be on any specific topic: theoretical, methodological, or empirical approaches are all welcome.

The proposal should contain: • The title of the Panel • The subject category of the panel (possible topics are given in the list below) • Name, institute and email addresses of the Chair and any Co-chair(s). • A text of no more than 500 words which presents the focus or topic of the panel and explains its scientific relevance. • A "call for papers" of no more than 300 words that can be placed on the Website directly if/when the Panel proposal is accepted. • Name, institute and email addresses of any possible discussant(s).
The Scientific Committee will announce the names of accepted proposals on November 15th, 2014 and publish a "call of papers" for these panels on the Conference website. Each panel can comprise up to three separate sessions with each session having a maximum of five papers each. Final paper selection will be made by the panel chairs before 15th February, 2015.
