The School of Social Sciences at the Singapore Management University is seeking applications
for a postdoctoral research position in Public Policy. The position is available immediately for one
year till 31st of March 2017 in the first instance and can be extended subject to securing additional
funding.

Job Description
The postdoctoral fellow will participate in an emerging research agenda focused on contemporary
public policy issues. An interest and demonstrated research on theoretical aspects related to
policy design and analysis would be an advantage. The position is particularly well suited for (but
not limited to) applicants with a background in environmental, transportation, energy, or
technology policy issues.
The research will involve a project focusing on one of the following:
• Policy design, analysis, and analytics
• Socio-technical systems, transitions, and technology policy
• Sustainable urban and Infrastructure policies
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. before starting the position. The ideal applicant has a background
in public policy and is familiar with contemporary policy design and analysis issues, and has a
strong publication track record. Research experience and track record in conducting primary data
collection and analysis in Southeast Asia and/or possession of analytical skills is a plus. Strong
applicants from relevant social science disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary scholars trained
and published in public policy, are encouraged to apply.
Remuneration
Singapore dollars 4,000 to Singapore dollars 4,400 per month for up to 12 months (including 1
month bonus).
