The Crawford School of Public Policy is one of three Schools within the College of Asia and the Pacific, and has core expertise in economics, governance, environment and development, combined with interdisciplinary strengths and an Asia-Pacific focus.  This key role is responsible for the future positioning of the Crawford School, ensuring that ongoing development and innovation continue to deliver an environment that supports world-class research performance.

Reporting to the Dean, College of Asia and the Pacific, you will provide direction and leadership across overall research and educational leadership in the School, consistent with the strategic plan of the College and the ANU 2020 Strategic Plan.  Building the Crawford School's policy research profile, operational scope and budget capacity is a key goal for the next phase of its institutional development.  As the Crawford School enjoys an extensive public profile and has significant partnerships with government, you will liaise with the Vice-Chancellor and the Executive.

As the Director, Crawford School of Public Policy, you will be responsible for the following:

·  Provision of leadership and strategic planning across public policy outreach

·  Generating and maintaining positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, at a local and international level, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region

·  Provision of effective management of the academic, educational, financial, physical and staff resources of the School

·  Contributing to the executive leadership group of the College of Asia and the Pacific

·  Provision of support the College Dean and Executive in the development and delivery of key policies.
