Public Policy Position

Singapore Management University, School of Social Sciences

 

. The disciplinary background for this position is open, and the candidate could have a doctorate in Public Policy, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Business Management, or background in a relevant inter-disciplinary field.

 

We are seeking candidates with a record of, or high potential for, scholarly research commensurate with the rank, as well as demonstrated teaching aptitude. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach a relevant intro-level course in the School’s second major in public policy and public management, in addition to other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. At the senior level, the appointee is expected to assume a mentorship role in research activities and curriculum development for the School.

 

Singapore Management University is committed to an interdisciplinary and integrated curriculum, providing opportunities to work with faculty across the social sciences and professional schools. The research support is excellent, salary and benefits are highly competitive, and the teaching load is relatively light. Classes are capped at no more than 45 students.

 

Full evaluation of applications will start on 20 October 2015. Interviews for short-listed candidates will commence in November 2015. The successful candidate will be expected to start at Singapore Management University in July 2016.
