The Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Konstanz is seeking
applications for a tenured Full Professorship of Public Administration (Salary level W 3)
The successful candidate contributes to research and teaching in the fields of public administration, for example on topics such as behavioral administrative science,
implementation and evaluation of public policy, public accountability, public administration
theories, or multi-level administration.
The University of Konstanz, with its “Institutional Strategy to promote Top-Level Research”,
has been receiving continuous funding since 2007 within the framework of the Excellence
Initiative by the German Federal and State Governments.

The successful candidate contributes to research and teaching in the fields of public
administration, for example on topics such as behavioral administrative science,
implementation and evaluation of public policy, public accountability, public administration
theories, or multi-level administration. Participation in the University’s Center of Excellence
on “Cultural Foundations of Integration” as well as the Graduate School of Decision
Sciences is desired. A Ph.D. in political science, public administration or a related
discipline is required. Applicants should have a strong track record in international, high-
ranked outlets and success in securing third-party funding as well as experience in university
teaching at different levels in the field of public administration broadly defined. The ability to
teach in German is an asset, but not a must. The position starts ideally on April 1, 2016.
