The School of Political Science & International Studies is at the forefront of teaching and research in political science, international relations and peace and conflict studies in Australia. The School's academic teaching and research staff include internationally recognised scholars who are leaders in their research fields and award winners for innovation and excellence in teaching. The School also hosts the Asia Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect and one of the six worldwide Rotary Centres for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution. The role

The primary purpose of these positions is to engage, as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and postgraduate supervision, contributing actively to the School's offerings in public policy, governance or political economy. The successful applicants will also be expected to pursue an active and productive program of research in these fields, which are priorities in the School. The appointees will be expected to undertake administrative roles in the School commensurate with the level of appointment. The person

Applicants should have a PhD in Political Science or a cognate discipline. Expertise in one of the following areas may be advantageous: comparative politics/public policy; development studies; political theory; regional expertise that complements the School's existing strengths. The ability to design, coordinate and effectively teach courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level is a key requirement. Remuneration

This is a full-time continuing appointment at either Lecturer Level B or Senior Lecturer Level C. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,857.70 - $97,205.75 p.a., or $100,275.33-$115,623.37, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,773.51 - $113,730.72 p.a. or $117,322.13 - $135,279.34 p.a.).
